Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were very clean, with a slightly outdated feel, and the included breakfast was a nice touch. The service from the staff was friendly and efficient. The location was good for exploring the town center and river on foot, but the nearby casino was a bit lacking in gaming options. The dining experience was a mix; some options were tasty, while others like the cold biscuits were disappointing.
The hotel really needs a major overhaul as it played loud music all night, had profanity in the 10th-floor rooms, and the property had a smell of stale carpeting throughout. On the positive side, my food from the on-site restaurant Joy Luck Noodle Bar was absolutely inedible.
The hotel used to be one of the best in town, offering clean and well-maintained rooms. However, the temperature control was an issue during my stay. The service was friendly and accommodating, particularly at the 'Hash' restaurant, but there were concerns about additional accommodation requests not being addressed. The location, despite being near the Amtrak train station, was a bit dirty. The dining options, including Hash House A Gogo, left something to be desired. Overall, the hotel has some positive aspects but also some areas to improve.
My stay at the hotel was a complete disaster. The rooms were gross and the overall experience was horrible, but they were clean and comfortable. The 22nd-floor location in the west tower provided a view of the other casinos in Reno, even though the rooms desperately need a carpet upgrade and the patchwork should be removed.
My stay at the hotel was a real mixed bag. While the staff was helpful and did try hard to keep me happy, they didn't make me feel special even though I'm a seven-star guest. On the positive side, after losing a significant amount of money during my last visits, they did eventually comp me, which I felt I had earned. However, the room experience was a real letdown. The hotel felt impersonal and I was treated more like an object than a person. The policies they have to stick to are just ridiculous. I've had much better experiences at Harrah's in Laughlin where the rooms are new and they even have a special Diamond Club room. This was definitely the worst stay I've had.
The hotel offers clean rooms and friendly service, but the location needs updating and cleaning. While the dining experience is hit or miss, the facilities are decent for a good stay.
The hotel had a great view from the 20th floor and was beautiful, although there were some issues like a dusty TV area and a very hard bed. The staff had some hiccups during check-out but the manager quickly resolved them, making the overall stay pleasant.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant. The rooms, though a bit outdated, were comfortable and offered a nice view of the strip and mountains. However, I did notice they could have been a little cleaner. The service was friendly and prompt, especially with room service orders. The hotel's location was convenient for exploring downtown but lacked a nearby 24-hour cafe. The dining options were diverse with a wide selection of food, but there were some limitations on availability. Overall, the facilities were adequate for my needs.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The location is fantastic if you want to be downtown and within walking distance of everything, but it can be a bit tricky to navigate to certain rooms. The service, except for one incident with a questionable staff member, was incredibly nice. The dining options provided a good variety, and the facilities were overall satisfactory.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Reno, offering easy access to downtown attractions and a vibrant atmosphere. While the rooms are generally clean and comfortable, some signs of aging are noticeable, and there was a slight lingering cigarette smell in my room. The dining experience was satisfactory, with reasonably priced delicious food but limited operation hours. The service, however, left much to be desired, as staff displayed rudeness and made questionable decisions. The hotel overlooks Virginia Street, providing a beautiful view of car shows, though the surrounding area can feel sketchy. The facilities are decent, but there seemed to be inconsistencies in following company policies.
Although I had to deal with the theft issue before proving the lack of proper cleaning in the rooms, the location was right in the middle of all Reno's action without any resort fees. However, the faint smokers smell in the non-smoking room was a downside. The service was fabulous, but the unpleasant experience of being accused of drugs and losing belongings affected it. The varied and tasty dining options closed at certain times, which was inconvenient.
The hotel's location is great for exploring the downtown area with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. The rooms were a bit disappointing with issues like dust and torn bedspreads, but the staff provided excellent service. Dining was a little pricey for the quality offered, but the facilities were decent. Overall, a convenient choice for sightseeing if you can overlook some room concerns.
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, despite being old and outdated, seemed to be clean with quality sheets and pillowcases. The variety in slot machines was lacking, preferring the older style games, but the dining options were top-notch with very delicious steak and friendly service.
The hotel has a nice view from the rooms but lacks cleanliness and maintenance. The staff can be dismissive or rude at times but attempts to accommodate requests. The location is convenient for downtown sights but may be too small for certain guests. Dining options are of good quality but might lack variation. The facilities are decent overall.
The hotel's rooms were quite sufficient for my needs at the time. However, the staff was very rude and impersonal, creating a disappointing and old-fashioned experience. The hotel felt more like an old Casino that doesn't cater to guests well, treating them like objects rather than people. It seems you must lose a significant amount of money before receiving any kind of consideration, which differs greatly from other establishments such as Harrah's in Laughlin. Overall, it was the worst stay I have ever experienced.
